Heating & Cooling

Total comfort, absolute control, that's what you can expect from a Trane® system. Trane® systems are designed to adapt to the way you and your family live, providing relief from allergens and dander while cooling and warming your entire home. Read on to discover the level of control you have with Trane® products and how they can improve your way of life -- day after day, year after year.

Variable-speed means consistent climate control

Most home comfort systems only deliver air at one speed, so the system is either off or on at full speed. That can lead to drafty rooms, wider temperature swings and more noise. But a Trane® system designed with a variable-speed furnace or air handler adds just the right amount of warm or cool air to keep you at the right temperature all day and all night.

And since a variable-speed fan can run at lower speeds, it better circulates the air and removes extra humidity. Higher humidity is often what makes you feel uncomfortable. And an extra bonus is that it helps your system work more efficiently, saving you money.

Bask in quiet comfort

Another important benefit of variable-speed indoor components is a significant reduction in sound. The unit begins at a low speed and slowly ramps up as needed, so you don't hear the clang standard units make on start-up or shutdown. It runs so quietly, in fact, that you'll sleep more soundly and never have to adjust your TV over the sound of your system's operation. Now that's comfort you can hear as well as feel.

Control moisture (and what comes with it) with Comfort-RTM

Simply match a high-efficiency air conditioner or heat pump with a variable-speed indoor unit featuring our patented Trane® Comfort-RTM technology to remove humidity from your home during those hot summer days. Lower humidity can also lead to savings since, without excess moisture in the air, you can keep your thermostat at a higher setting and still feel comfortable. When you have a heat pump system, Comfort-RTM mode also offers a warmer start-up in heating so you don't feel cool air when you're looking for warm and cozy air. Another benefit: Because dust mites need high humidity to live, they won't, so your family can breathe easier.

Pick and choose your comfort zones

Why heat or cool the entire house when you spend most of your time in one area? If you have a home that is multilevel, the answer could be two or more zones so you can control the temperature as needed. Having multiple zones could significantly lower your energy costs and increase your comfort.
